About Me
Award-winning designer, incurable perfectionist and firm believer that a beautiful home should also be a comfortable one.
My StoryMy design career began in the USA, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in Interior Design from the prestigious Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, in 1992, winning the Table, Lamp and Chair Competition in Portland, Oregon, in the same year. That North American training gave me a rigorous, practical foundation that still shapes every project I take on.
In 2002 I founded MG Interior Design here in North London, and for more than 25 years I have been designing homes, cafés and commercial spaces across London and beyond. Every project is different, because every client is different, and that is precisely what I love about this work.
I guide my clients through the design process with confident ease and, I am told, a good sense of humour. Renovating a home can feel daunting; my job is to make it enjoyable.
“The key to a truly original interior is a good rapport with my clients. Your home should reflect your personality, not mine.”
I am comfortable working in a broad range of styles: traditional and co-ordinated, modern and on-trend, informal and relaxed, quirky and eclectic. What ties them all together is a combination of elegance and practical comfort, quality materials chosen to last, and a scheme built around the way you actually live. The result is a home that feels timeless rather than trend-led, and unmistakably yours.

You work directly with me from the first consultation to the final styling day. I listen carefully, I take the time to understand how you live, and I never hand your project to someone else.
I know the interiors market inside out at every price level, trade and retail, which means beautiful results that respect your budget, and access to pieces you will not find on the high street.
Two decades in North London means a large and varied address book of highly skilled, reliable craftsmen and trades, all of whom I am happy to introduce to my clients.
Extensions, structural work, tight deadlines and the occasional surprise behind the plaster: after 25 years, very little rattles me. I keep projects moving and clients smiling.
Tell me about your project over the phone or by email, with no obligation. I would love to hear what you are dreaming of.
