This was a magnificent country house built in the tradition of Arts & Crafts. When my client took on this house it was showing signs of having been rather unloved for a while. Together, we managed to breathe new life in to it with the aim of making this rather imposing house some where the whole family could grow up happily and comfortably and have the pleasure of calingl home. It took a number of years to complete: the entire house was gutted and modernised with a new extension added as well as a new summer living room. Last but not least, the garden was established with great care and a pool was built. I had the pleasure of designing the outdoor pergola and kitchen as well as converting one of the small barns in to a pool house – complete with an outdoor shower, very old school!
